[ much ado about blogging ]
Thursday:
went to town today. and quite a tiring day it was... my legs were hurting like hell at night.
it's interesting too because i sorta had a self tour of the place. lol! anyways, this is how it began. first took the monorail from brickfields, almost got lost when i stopped at the imbi station because all of a sudden, times square is in front of me O_o. after asking for directions from a lady working at starbucks, which was pretty useless, i managed to find my way to low yatt. as i was about to reach there, the sole of my shoe came out, even after i'd glued it back before leaving the house!! stupid good-for-nothing glue! gave a call to my friend, whom i met there, and went to search for a proper adhesive.
i first tried elephant glue [bonds in 10 seconds it seems] but came off just as we were about to go up [that's where the main stuffs are :p]. so went back to the same shop and found a glue especially for shoes [why didn't i see that before?]. finally in the end it stuck, and is still in usable order. or else i'll have to either buy a new pair of boots for cf or use the higher heeled ones [which i don't intend to since i'll probably be wearing it for hours!!].
so, spent about 2 hours there, roaming around, looking at the stuffs each shop had, surveying their prices.. and in the end bought a new graphics card [msi g4 64mb], a vcd [vampire journals], two dvds [dances with wolves & akira].. cdrs [duh!], a mouse [logitech], two mp3 cds [ayumi hamasaki collection & enigma] and 1 software cd [windows xp] :)
once done there, had lunch at this "japanese noodles" place, went to federal hotel [that's where my friend was staying. well, actually her mom was having some seminar there so she decided to bunk in the hotel with her and take the opportunity to see town. free also what :p] dropped off the things she bought and then walked to times square. the place was quite dead.. barely any shops were open. we went there just to check out with our own eyes what the hype was all about.
was trying to find the theme park, but no signage again [what lar these ppl!!] and as we were about to leave two foreigners asked us if we knew where it was -_-". should've told them "follow the screams, and you'll find it" but of course all good answers come to us way after the perfect moment. but then again, they would've looked at us funny and go "huh?". passed by some oogling morons, who needs to wash their brains with chlorox, and bid my friend a good day. haha!
i decided to go to klcc to meet my brother. his college is near klcc and he finished class so thought i'd meet him there & then go back. so the plan was to take the monorail, stop at bukit nanas, then take the light transit rail [lrt] from the dang wangi station [an interchange] but after i got down from the monorail i couldn't find the damn station... very very bad signage!!! actually, i don't think there was any! so i started walking...
where i got down from the monorail was the road where hard rock is located. so i walked all the way from hard rock to klcc. gah!!! passed by the "happening" place [not so happening of course at 4pm], they were putting up halloween decorations n stuff. it was so hot!! fortunately i had some water left with me -_-'' and again, fortunate for me i wasn't the only one walking on that road towards klcc. i was trying to figure out how to cross the main road, but as i came closer i found there was a more suitable way to enter klcc.
met my brother there, went to the kino to check if anything was new in, found out zero sum is out today [saturday], then took the lrt home... only to know that my mom couldn't pick us up from the station, so we took the bus which stopped at the bottom of our road and had to walk up..... again!! so, that's why my legs are aching :p a lot of walking ^^
Present day:
surprisingly my legs were fine the next day. hehe... as for today, did a number of things some people would be proud of and perhaps weirded out too. before going to the tailor... yes, i did say TAILOR!! XD XD
as i was saying... before going to the tailor, we had to transfer a queen sized mattress from our house to my grandmother's house. now, with only equipped with a car, how do you suppose we do that? with the added advantage that my grandmother literally lives down my road [down the road and across the junction :p] we decided to place the mattress on the hood of the car.
-_-;;;;
you heard me right. the hood of the car!! so 4 of us [including driver] held on to the handles [fortunately placed on the sides of the bed] from the inside of the car through the windows. i wanted to take a picture but the battery of my digicam died. arghh!! otherwise i would've posted the pic here for all to see :p. it was hillarious, and embarassing too of course! had a few ppl looking at us from their cars and laughing. it was even funnier when we were at the junction [to cross the road] a car slowed down and you can see these big grins on their faces ^^;;; they're probably still thinking about it [as my friend had said].
and later went to the tailor. said she can do the coat in 3 weeks [which is super!] and quoted me rm150 without cloth & linen.
*sees monnies flying out of window* ^$$$^
will be buying the cloth next week and see her again on tuesday. XD XD
