back~ with long ass bloggage. enjoy!
the beach was good. the whole experience was tiring (due to the fact i hardly had any sleep) but surprisingly i was awake til almost 4am. would've not slept if everyone else was tired, but once you decide to lay on the bed, covers up to yer chin, you just wanna stay like that =)
so, let's see. i last blogged yesterday at 1.10pm. continuing from that point.... after i was done with my work (and blog) i had a shower, couldn't resist not washing my hair even though we were going to the beach. y'know, salty air makes hair sticky? i grabbed my first meal of the day at 2.45pm. gobbled it all down, picked my friend up and headed to the binding shop first. made them holes on plain paper first since i was planning to print my stuffs at college and then went to colloquio/nal's house, meeting point. and were just in time as my other friend (the designated driver) reached her place moments after we did. chucked our stuffs in the booth and headed to... my college first. well, it's actually on the way to PD so it was alright. except for the fact that i took almost an hour there. i didn't realize it, but i was trying my best to hurry.
we planned to leave early since our parents were against us driving there at night. but by the time i was done in college (printed, manually binded & handed it in) it was 4.30pm. and so our journey (not to the west, duh!) finally began.
after 2 1/2 hours, including getting lost a couple of times, taking wrong routes, wrong turnings, missing the hotel and ended up having to drive back from one end, we finally reached the hotel. we didn't care much of the sunset i guess, since we practically missed it but did have dinner at a fairly nice restaurant by the sea. though, there were far too many insects flying about and i even found a tiny snail in my food. but that didn't stop me from continuing my dinner. i just thought of it as escargot :p
after that we did some more roaming around and stopped by a supermarket to get some drinks and munchies for the night. upon returning to the hotel, we saw some kids playing with fireworks and 2 of my friends had a brilliant idea to get some as well. so we stopped by that particular house to ask where they got it from and said it was unavailable at the moment but we could try those kedai runcits. we tried a few, asked a few more people (well, basically i just sat at the back counting backwards to keep my patience since i wasn't really interested in the fireworks) and finally ended up with some pop-pops and sparklers. it seems the police were quite strict this time of the year and my friends were even 'lectured' on the dangers of fireworks. heh!
we came back to the hotel room, kept our stuffs in the fridge and waited for another 2 friends to arrive. they were still in KL but managed to reach PD in 1/2 hour? i think. hehe. so finally we all went down to the beach. ahh, it was so ncie :p the starry starry sky, the sand was not too bad. there were other 'kids' at the beach, some having bonfire and playing with fireworks, because MU (multimedia uni) was having some seminar at the same hotel. found out some of them were one of my friend's ex-classmates. there was a group of guys who had a guitar (how typical) and they were
we lit candles and stuck them into the sand as our source of light. it looked kinda pretty (will post pics of the trip later). then we had some drinks, "toasted", and hung out in the water. well, just ermm... calf deep? later my friend brought one of the bed covers to the beach and layed it on the sand. 3 of us lay there watching the sky (it was really nice) and it wasn't too chilly either. the other 3 went back to the hotel room. we stayed at the beach until about 3am before clearing up and leaving.
back in the hotel room (there's 3 rooms, 2 with 2 beds, 1 with one bed) and we had the mattress in the room with one bed dragged to one of the other rooms and everyone was basically camping on the beds. all 6 of us. talkinga bout ghost stories... hahahaha!! :p it wasn't that scary lar. but i did wonder about the room we were staying in. my friend brought a black light and was scanning the rooms for any blood and.... semen. yes, it did feel like we were in CSI. haha. was quite cool. we err... found some stuff. bleh >_< and at some parts of a wall there were splashes and drops of.. something and we were wondering if someone got murdered in that room O_o;;;
however, by the time it was 4am (i think) we all decided to go to sleep. woke up the next morning and checked out by 1pm and drove to an ostrich farm since some people wanted to see them. i was actually running short for time but hey, it was only 1 person so i had to deal with it. i had a class at 3.13pm so, that's why i was a bit on a rush. after all that getting lost the previous day, i was hoping that the same thing didn't happen again... and good thing it didn't. i managed to reach back home 5 minutes before my class, which was cool :)
and so the rest of the day i lazed at home (too tired to do anything else) because the next morning, we were leaving for maran (some 100+km away from kuantan) at 8am O_o""
and so that concludes the blog for Saturday, Jan 31 2003.
(was too lazy to finish typing out the whole thing at one go that day)
