[ interview tmr! ]

the interview is in 12 hours!!!! *runs around madly* >.> <.< <.> >.<;;

just spent the last 3 hours filling in those forms. argh!! if i had to look at another Engrish written form... i'm gonna kill myself.

1 more hour til the end of monday blues. well, my whole weekend has been like a week day i'm not sure if it's even monday blues.

yesterday i went for an interesting talk, really good which was from 9-5pm. that's why it felt like another working day. well anyways, i wanted to blog because i got an email from company B just now and i'm not thru to the next interview. so i don't have to worry about company A and a couple of other things like going ahead with the japan scholarship, etc.

i was on the fence with company B. ah well, it does feel sad because i didn't get it and it's a really well established company. however, this way i can go to japan (if i get thru the interview on wednesday) and work a little longer in company A, which i'm finding very comfortable.

lalala~ can always try again with company B next year ^^

okay, i may seem like i have no life, blogging twice in 1 hour, but wanna know what's cool?

oh and people started coming in by 9.30am ^^

first blog entry at work. hehe! it's kinda weird. there's no one around @_@;; maybe they're late, since it rained this morning hence traffic jams. or maybe they start at a different time on fridays? @_@!!!!!

btw, just thought some of you wanna know, i'm on msn at work so you /can/ msg me once in a while ^^ i think today is actually the first proper work day because we were given a task to research on some stuff for a project.

[ first day at work ]
 
so, it was probably not the most boring day of my life. luckily i had the "davinci code" with me ( a book everyone seems to be in a craze at the moment ^^). i got in at 9am but met well, i shall give the "supervisor" title since he's the one who interviewed me and hired me. so he came in only at 10am.
 
very briefly met with this other guy (new comer & fresh graduate as well, but he started in june) and was given the task to.... read. yes, read up on the programming stuffs related to an up-coming project.
 
of course i didn't spend all 9-5 reading stuffs. there was lunch, and a bit of surfing here and there. daringly i switched on msn (mwahaha) and chatted with gan for a bit. i left the office at 5.30pm and tada, i'm home and on the pc again ^^;
 
the atmostphere in the office is nice. we listen to the radio the whole day. i think it's piped into all the various offices in the building. and finally, i think i may like the job i have.
 
on to day #2 (let's see what new stuff i'll be doing)

@_@ just spent the last two hours playing gunbound. heh.
 
the interview went okay.. me thinks. asked a lot of non-academic questions. actually it was all non-academic actually. some stuffs like personal challenges, changes, blahblahblah... and of course the general topic they chose was sports! why didn't i think of that!! olympics just around the corner, and i could've done some research on that.
 
the questions were easy lar. like what's the definition of sports (argh i could shoot myself because i didn't really know how to answer that) and the advantages & disadvantages of sports. that one i could bantai lar :)

it's now 10:45am and.... i'm starting to get nervous. either that or i need to use the loo badly. hehehe :)
 
managed to get a face-to-face interview with company B, and everything else seems fine with company A. will be joining them tmr. should be interesting. working life and all.
 
saturday my class batch ("class of '99") had a reunion. it was just 20 of us. most of which i've met every now and then. a couple i haven't seen in years too. not bad lar, though if we'd stayed any longer, it woulda been boring ^^;
 
okies, i'm off to get ready. am planning to leave the house in 1/2 an hour so need time to get ready. wish me luck! ^^

i've never been so stressed about getting a job before (that's probably because i've never had a proper job before).
 
first i get a call from company A, they offered me the job and asked me if i could start on monday. before accepting i told them i'd call them back. so i spoke to my parents and they said ok. so i called company A and comfirmed with them that i will start on monday.
 
few minutes later i get a call from company B. now B is definitely better than A in many aspects but i haven't had an interview with B yet. so B called and asked if i could come in for an interview at 10am on..... MONDAY! so, stupid me went and told them that i just got offered a job and am starting on monday so 10am would be a bit difficult. but the lady on the line said, "but you're interested in joining us right?" i said yes. so she set a PHONE interview at 12pm on monday.
 
after telling this to my parents, they were all "why did you tell them you got a job?" blahblahblah -______- so i probably just screwed up all my chances with company B and maybe A since now i need to tell them that i can't come in on monday. bullshit some story that i have an exam (the hackers one) on monday and i would also have to take 2 days off the following week (one for the ACTUAL hackers exam and another for the scholarship interview).
 
everything just had to come tumbling in now lar. i waited for 2 bloody months for something to happen and nothing did ¬___¬
 
 
EDIT: managed to call up company A and they gave me one day. so, i start on tuesday instead... but i still need to call company B and tell them that monday is okay already and... dunno what else ^^;;

it's already july... omfg!

before i start... *points at tag-board* there was a post (since i already deleted the post) which simply amuses me. some people can behave so immaturely, not show who they are (email? website?) and claim we are f*ckers. HAHAHAHA!! OMG!!!111 HAXXOR N00BS! -_-

now where were we?

so, a few days later after the trip to that dodgy place, i get a call from them about the 'homework'. they gave me a link to their oh-so boring web site and asked me to redesign it. it seems there was so many applicants, they decided to give 'homeworks' and then i suppose choose from there.

on saturday morning the lady incharge of web job called me up and told me to add s'more images... -_-;; i thought what lar, i got the job or something... but no.. it's /still/ the 'homework'. sheesh. if they had so many applicants and mine wasn't to their liking, i'm sure they could easily choose someone else. just hope they're not con-ing me into making the site for them and they steal it. hehe, well, i doubt that would happen lar.

this morning before i woke up i had a dream where the main guy (have not met him but there's suppose to be some guy who's the boss of this, and not the lady who called me) telling me have i done the site and the images @_@

i haven't, duh! so off i go to do just that... in a while :p (i really dunno what else to add)

besides that, i'm on a incubus downloading rampage. already got their latest album (a crow left to the murder) last night, and now downloading 'morning view'. after that it's 'make yourself'. i forgot how much i loved 'just a phase' *__*

i just spent 7 hours doing a website which some company called me up this morning and told me they got some "homework" for me to do. actually it's rather long story as to how i know this company but to put it in short:

few days ago i rang up this company to apply for a web designer/developer job. they called me to come in on that day itself for interview. so went there, found out it was a freakin' recruitment agency. spent 2 hours doing some crap "tests" and signing up with them then went thru a short interview and finally the interview for the web designer/developer. that recruitment agency apparently needed a web person.

so, i got this letter see... yesterday. a really big envelope which i wasn't expecting anytime soon. so this big ass brown envelope, which was quite heavy, was from the japan embassy see.. and my dad was trying to open it. i screeched (actually i don't screech) and grabbed the envelope from him saying "it's MINE!!!" with an evil glare (...right!). while opening it i was telling my dad... "it's probably heavy because they're rejecting my application and sending me the form i sent them last time back to me.. haha!"

hehe.. i've been approved to attend an interview with them. it is the next step, and i think final step, before i am told if/when (noticed how i slipped "ir" and "when" together?) i'm accepted to get the scholarship. whoohoo!


it was dm-san's (no more chan because she's officially old in.... 3 days?) pre birthday partee.. hehe. got to meet some of her college mates, lotsa nice food, watched cringed when i heard sanzo sound so freakin ghey and watched for the first time some legacy of kain stuffs. XD

and so "The Lab" is pooped and is off to do some serious mail (not male) checking!
